SmartType is available as a software only package which can be used with TIFF images collected from your existing microscope and camera.

If you would like the convenience of image capture integrated right into SmartType you can add the SmartType/Scion Firewire Digital Camera (CFW-1312M) You will need a firewire (IEEE-1394) interface on your computer.

For SmartType use. we  recommend a 0.5x “C” mount when coupling the Scion CFW-1312M camera to your microscope. A suitable “C” mount should be available from your micrsocope manufacturer
