Free SmartType Express

SmartType Express is a fully functioning version of SmartType that will operate for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes you will be allowed to save any work in progress. You can restart SmartType and resume from where you left off. We hope that if you find SmartType to be sufficiently useful for your work, you will purchase the very affordable upgrade to the Pro version that has no time-out.

Download the installer version for your computer, unzip (if your browser does not do it for you) and run the installer.

The SmartType installer includes a User Guide a Quick Start Tutorial and an example metaphase image to help you get going right away.

SmartType Express is free to use and suppoted by advertising. When you launch SmartType it will attempt to access the network to locate advertising content and also help us record some useage statistics.
